Download Ventilo client side version here
Ventrilo is free to use and beats the hell out of typing in chat!! Also, those that use Ventrilo get alot more out of this guild than those who do not use it. Got speakers? Got a mic? Get on it! Hostname or IP: 207.44.192.28 Port: 3278 Pass: oldies Once installed and opened you will see at the top of the Ventrilo window a place to put a user name and another for server. Just put in your user name, input the above information into the server information box and hit connect! Easy-breezy! When using Ventrilo please use a "hot key" instead of voice activation! You can find that setting in the "Setup" menu. We don't want to listen to you breathing! "Setup" is also where you'll find your inbound and outbound audio faders. |

For anyone with the same problem:
I have used Vent in the past, thought it was an easy update/download and boom back on again... Not so...kept getting MSG: Contacting Server I checked my firewalls, I had allowed Vent into both. Tried uninstall/reinstall, poor Elvis spent some time with me on this...bottom line...shut down firewalls altogether, connect to Vent, bring firewalls back up...ta-da! Life is good again. Hope this helps anyone else who comes across this. Or, it was just a random act of violence... |
